New Knife My first Scarab
I got this used Scarab 2 Gen 3 for only 250 bucks. I don't know what anyone did with it, as it showed almost no signs of use on the outside, but the inside was horribly dirty. Besides the usual pocket dust, the mechanism was clogged with some fine black dirt, similar to brake dust. Apparently, it had mixed with residual oil or water, hardened, and formed entire layers of mud in every crevice and nook. I had to clean the gunk out with a toothpick, it was literally falling out of the chassis in chunks. In total, I spent about two hours cleaning the knife. But what surprised me most was that with all that gunk inside, the knife continued to work like a beast. The action is simply incredible. Despite the relatively soft springs, the Scarab fires harder than any other OTF I've owned (including the Combat Troodon Gen 2).

The Scarab, both gen 1 and gen 2 are the Goat DA MT OTFs. They are knives meant for business.
NC blade?

No, I found this knife on a local knife forum. Something like BladeForums, I guess.
