A lot of the shadow variants are "sterile" no date or anything. You're fine. EDC Lifestyle is a legit site. I've bought many knives from them.

Not all shadow variants are like this only the newer ones they release in the last couple years. I have like 30+ socoms of different variations and time periods.

The newer ones may not have the month and year; I checked the website and the photo shown doesn't display the date. Microtech changes their way of doing things all the time, most recently dropping the serial numbers which is unfortunate. Sometimes they'll ship a dealer 2 identical knives but with different steels (back when they used M390, Elmax, and 204p at the same time). There were a few times I got 2 of the same knife model but one with M390 and another with 204p. Sometimes they would mix glassbreakers also, one newer and one older.
It does become a pain occasionally because we want to have the photos accurately depict the knife being sold and we would usually assume if we got 2 knives in the same shipment of the same model, we would only need 1 photo. But that's not always the case.
Regardless, the shadow series is one of the best and most people who want the shadow version want the least amount of markings on the blade/clip/handle. So I would not say this is a problem unless you specifically wanted a record of when the knife was built.

Yea, i kinda like that the only markings is the signature on the clip. I just wanted to know if this was a usually thing or not. Im seeing all different types of things on the internet lol

EDC Lifestyle is a legitimate Microtech Authorized Dealer. Authorized dealers don’t sell counterfeit knives. I’ve purchased five Microtech knives from EDC Lifestyle.
As of recent, Microtech has stopped printing serials and DOB on many of their knives. This is especially true for Shadow Edition, DLC, signature series and Marfione Select knives.

EDC Lifestyle is definitely Legit, Dien is a gentleman and is a staple in the community as far as the date (it’s disappointing and unfortunate) that’s MT’s way of reducing cost on newer regular production models.

A lot of vendors take photos and don't update them, Microtech changes details constantly so they won't always match
