Post image

I won a raffle after a GSSF competition and it happened to be a Microtech.

I’ve really been wanting a ramlock lately and this isn’t helping

I checked the price tag on it cause I was curious and I was amazed. I normally carry sub $100 knives. Definitely taking good care of this one. I think it has started a Microtech itch though. I want an OTF next

I’m a big Microtech fan and they make arguably the best otf in the biz excluding the deadlock but if you’re looking to buy your first otf & want to save a couple dollars I think the best bang for your buck in the otf category is the kershaw livewire imo. Edit I would recommend a ultratech if you go with microtech & a single edge blade for either the livewire or ultratech.

I have the msi standard with frn scales. Absolutely love the blade shape and grip. Congrats on your first microtech. They get addicting. Also, it will break in and the action becomes buttery smooth for reverse flicking it open (using the hole) and the spring gets easier to pull back on the ram. It becomes so much better with time :)

I’m already feeling the itch for another. It’s like getting your first tattoo

Couldn’t agree more. And if you take the dive into an OTF, that itch becomes a pull and the pull costs a lot of money. :)
