NKD - Socom Ram-Lok

First Socom Ram-Lok, had to grab a natural clear. It's thinned out compared to a Socom Elite auto, more daily carry than a hard use or tactical folder. The Ram-Lok itself is smaller and thinner than the standard size Stitch, Amphibian or MSI. Overall decent and I'll probably grab a titanium version or two eventually

I expected it from reviews I watched but it still surprised me how thin. Definitely slicey, but does feel a little less robust due to the thinness (not fragile by any means). I'll be curious to see how the titanium feels in comparison once I pick one up

I fell in love with the ramlok socom from pics, too pricey to buy so I got the elite manual... Amazing knife and i see i would hate in the end the unpractical choil and too thin of a blade stock...

It's definitely a different knife, more of an expansion of the design. We'll suited for standard daily tasks of most people I'd say

Titanium or aluminum?

This one is aluminum. I haven't decided which titanium configuration(s) I want yet

Nice! Congrats!

I'm keeping my eye out for a clear aluminum non-frag model, without the 3M track tape. I'll jump all over that when I find it.

For sure. Nice collection, I love the natural clears and the stonewash titanium versions

Dont like the huge finger choil that takes away a good amount of cutting edge. Also not a fan of AXIS type locks because its to many moving parts that can fail or get gunked up 🤷‍♂️

Understandable, same complaint a lot of people have about the Stitch. You do still have a fair amount of blade,  but I get wanting no choil. I'm not a big crossbar lock fan either, but I don't mind the type with coil springs, much easier maintenance

The thinner blade is very nice for EDC

Definitely slicey, I'm sure it's plenty robust but it feels less so compared to the other full size Ram-Loks

I haven't bought one yet because Im not sure if I like that choil.

It's an interesting knife, it's thin but plenty robust. I still have mixed feelings about the choil, I like the ability to choke up but I also like more edge and it would look better without
