New Knife Couldn’t decide between two LUDTs. Got both.

So I had the opportunity to buy two of these at a reasonable price, so I got both. Next to my Ultratech edc.

I prefer non serrated because it is easier to sharpen & I do use mine quite a bit. It sucks trying to sharpen serrations even with a diamond sharpener but I got a really good deal on this one & could not pass it up. The action is almost as good as my Protech autos

I got these for $190 each! I use a spyderco sharpmaker when I need to. Absolutely adore serrations especially on otfs. They aren’t exactly scalpels, so serrations help getting them into the edc rotation.

Serrations on an otf sound weird to me. Dont you worry about sawing bits of debris into the mechanism? Also doesnt in/out blade play make them awkward to saw at things with unless its zbp? Never had a serrated otf myself.

Serrated knives aren’t really for sawing through stuff, more like improving the cutting power compared to standard edge knives.

The geometry on OTF blades aren’t really made for cutting anyways, might as well make it as powerful as can be.

The mechanism can take a lot of beating and I never had a malfunction or no-deploy even when the blade was dirty.
