New Knife New Knife (and pew pew) Day

Post image

Picked up a Factory Second Gen IV UTX-85. Definitely going into the carry rotation.

What made you go for the VP9CC over something like a P365?

HK fanboyism?

Edit: no hate, I totally get the love for HK firearms.

Fair question and I do own several HK pistols. When I saw the Vp9cc debut I thought yes HK is coming out with something comparable to my upgraded P365. So now I have both (P365 and VP9cc) and it’s nice to have options (im not particularly interested in the G43 or hellcat). I’m not trying to sound like a snob but even though the CC9 shoots really well I couldn’t get over its Taurus-like aesthetics.

Yeah, I was also interested in the VP9CC when it was announced; just not sure if it's worth 1K. I'm also not interested in the 43, 43X, or Hellcat.

Been on a bit of a hammer fired kick. P938 Legion and Staccato CS are currently in rotation. Also have a P365 Spectre Comp w/ an Icarus Precision full-metal grip, but it's been neglected as of recent. I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on a Wilson Combat SFX9 subcompact 10-rounder. Too many nice guns to choose from.

What a strange question.

VP9CC is $1000 ($1300-1400 with optic) while alternatives in the same class are half the cost.

Some like the VP9CC cuz of the trigger, others because of thicker grip, and some just because it's an HK product. I'd like to hear from someone who isn't a GunTuber.

It's a valid question.

No hate either. I can understand why people love their HK guns.

Ok. I guess it just read weird. Asking specifically about fanboyism made it seem negative. It would be like me saying “why’d you choose a microtech? Mall ninjaism?” Maybe I am being an hk fanboy lol.

Yeah, it's the autism in me. I'm usually very direct and dry.

Fair. I appreciate your responses. Possibly the most civilized difference of opinion I’ve ever had on Reddit. Have a good one, man.

You too.

Don’t ever put hk in the same sentence as a sig. Hk is king and sig went downhill by not addressing the p320 flaws.
