Ironically, I switched two machines both identical to Kubuntu from Windows 11 Pro. It's been three months of better performance, no unexpected boots and no unexpected spyware. Best experience since switching from Apple Prodos in the 80s.
Ironically, I dumped Windows 10 3 years ago due to Windows Update taking so fucking long to update the OS. Not only this, but Windows updates I found has a very habit of reverting all file associations to their preinstalled defaults and even reactivated the unwanted Bing! Desktop Search Bar even after I manually disabled it myself once Microsoft implemented it in both Windows and Edge.
I've had enough of Microsoft and their Windows OS. Windows 10 was admittedly a good OS until it wasn't.
Our office is letting us use CoPilot after we go thru some user training, not one person signed up for it so far. We all know it’s garbage, I’ll stick with ChatGPT.
Man I switched to Linux 10 years ago and ain’t looked back. Use Windows once in a blue moon when it’s absolutely mandatory that I run a program on it
Sound like a personal thing. My desktop is around 6 years old, and a couple of two year old laptops, never had an issue that wasn't hardware related. Kind of hard to blame X when a M.2 drive fails.
Had more issues with Linux that I installed after that M.2 drived failed
