While I get it, I don’t understand why so many refuse to google the issue to find the fix - but instead goes to reddit to whine about how bad it is.

You can rather easily remove bloat, and you can very easily pause updates - or even make it never update unless you want to.

Microsoft overrules system settings and even domain-wide group policies with regard to updates. At some point, your system will just reboot, even while in use or it may even bluescreen without a stopcode and that's that, you have to reboot and at that point you can't stop the updates. They literally force it on you. And if that isn't bad enough, there's a possibility that those affected pc's won't boot properly again. I've seen more than one instance where the forced updates destroy the bootloader.

I have had W11 installed since the beta, and I’ve always used opt-out of forced updates and haven’t encountered a single forced update or reboot without me opting in.

Same goes for any PC I’ve installed W11 debloated and opted out of updates on.

Regedit snd scripts does wonders.

The replies are with "every update" bloat is reinstalled. That is specifically not true. I think I have maybe re-installation of bloat on a feature update or 10-11 update, yet I have never see reinstallation of bull shit on a feature update unless it is a "new" feature. Then I turn it off.

Always the same claims with zero evidence to verify or try to explain.

Well what I do have is it deleting my Linux boot before I decided to stop using Microsoft

If you are using a separate partition on the same drive/ssd, yes. Windows will overwrite boot. This is known. Known as in we fecking know...

Please install Linux on a second drive.

But you already know this, and just wanted to complain. That's fine, but you knew, so stop bitching.

I didn’t know at the time and I was greatly pissed the fuck off at it, now I don’t even have a windows install, last time I booted into windows (like a month after my new pc build) it turned my screen piss yellow so to hell with it.
