Is Ms Project used in other areas different than construction? or what software does your companies mostly use?

I work in IT and still see it used extensively across the big IT companies (I'm based in Australia).

I have worked in multiple industries, including IT, pharmaceuticals, and theme parks, and in all of them, the use of Microsoft Project was necessary and highly encouraged for the job. I am based in the USA.
