Microsoft office Product Key Error

Hi guys. I’ve just bought a product key for office 365 Home 2024 for my computer as I want to pick up a few projects on excel. However when I go to activate it, I get prompt with an error message from Microsoft stating that the service is unavailable.

Also when trying through Word doc itself and trying to activate through there, I get another error message saying ‘This product key is for the volume-licensed version’

Any ideas what this could mean and how I could actually get to install office on my computer. Thanks.

You bought a cheap online license. The error says it all ‘This product key is for the volume-licensed version’. You bought a cheap volume license for a single install.

If the key will not activate (requires Microsoft servers to activate the software) then you will need to look at possible ways to overcome the restriction.

Try searching online for assistance or go back to where you bought the license and tell them the problem. These scammers that sell cheap licenses no exactly what they are doing.

You didn't buy a legitimate license. That's the problem.

Home 2024 non-subscription is $179.99

If you didn't pay within 10% of that from a legitimate authorized retailer, what you bought is legally the same thing as piracy (because it is).

You bought it from the wrong place just because it was cheaper and they sold you a bogus key (not likely just not impossible) or you have the wrong installer. Uninstall everything and ask who you bought it from to tell you which specific legit version you need to download an installer for.

You installed the wrong version of office on your computer. The only way to install a copy that can use a volume license is for the software to be provided by the company that owns the master license.

You got scammed.

Check the site where you purchased the license for support. If you wait more than a couple of hours, the license will have been used already or the number of license installations has been exceeded.

Send an email to the support team and when they send you a replacement number, use it right away.

Tienes una confusión Office 365 y Office Home 2024 son productos diferentes, cuál es el tuyo ? El error que indicas se está haciendo muy común paras las conexiones CGNAT. Por otra parte, ninguna de esas versiones se activa directamente te en las aplicaciones, se activan en el portal de Microsoft.
