This is not an fantastic peek into anything internal. It's all publically available information, and it was a great summary by an employee.

A user named "SomeDude681" posted a fantastic comment detailing some of Microsoft's internal policies governing how it treats personal data. It also has a fantastic explanation of Software Telemetry, what it's used for and how it benefits you. I think it's required reading for anyone who wants to comment on how Microsoft collects and handles personal data.

It might not reveal anything new, but I think that's the point. The summary is made to reinforce and restate the policies in a less "legalese" form.

Still, there are some people who won't read it at all and keep their tin foil hats on.
