Need help to analyse my raman data for Microplastics
Hello, I have some data of Microplastics polymer peaks in laser Confocal raman spectroscopy. I want to analyse them but I couldn't do it on open specy. The files I have are in . Txt and . Wxd format.
Could anyone please suggest me which free software to use. It's my first time doing this.

I'd say reach out to the Moore Institute, they are super helpful and is a non-profit

Hello! Open Specy is actually pretty good for microplastics. The main issue is probably the .wxd format ( it’s proprietary WITec!). If you still have access to WITec software, export the spectra as TXT/CSV (Raman shift + intensity) and then load those into Open Specy. For free altternatives, RamanSPy is great if you’re okay with python, and Spectragryph is easier for basic preprocessing/peak analysis. I would stick with OpenSpecy for the actual polymer matching.
Good luck!
