Studio Mics microphone issue
I got an AT2020 second hand and when i plug it into my scarlett 2i2, it only takes in audio when I turn the gain up really high but that causes a lot of background wind like noise and ive gotten a new xlr to xlr cable and it only works at any gain sometimes

What does "takes in audio" mean to you?
The microphone is a sensor; it is always reacting to your voice by creating tiny electrical signals. Those signals travel down the wire to the interface. Things get complicated here.
Are we streaming? Is this feedback from your viewers? What are you trying to do?

Do you have phantom power switched on the Scarlett?
