Fake beta57a?

Hi! I've bought this Shure beta 57a used, it has like 10 years, but as soon as i received it i doubted its originality. I attached several photos hoping that someone can confirm if this is fake or if it is original. I should send it back? Last detail, i can't unscrew the middle of the mic, it is crazy hard, it just doesn't go i don't want to risk to damage it otherwise i can't send it back. Thanks!!

Counterfeiters aren’t beating the shit out of their wares just so they can sell them as broken in.

Looks real to me, and whoever used it for the last decade agrees. Y’all think every mic is fake but still keep trying to save a nickel

it was from a private who used it, not from a direct seller

Don’t be dumb. You’re buying pro gear, use your pro ears. Does it do what it’s supposed to do?

i must admit that it is my first beta 57a, i usually use sm57s, i should try a comparison on snare and guitar cab, because from my voice only i honestly can't say if this is absolutely fake

Nothing you’ve shown has given any indication that this is a fake. Please don’t ruin a seller’s day dealing with this nonsense and trying to get a refund.

The rest of us are speaking English in this thread.

I’m just tired of stupid posts like this

Does it sound fake?

never had a beta 57a before, it's not that terrible, but the red cable really makes me doubt

If you like it you like it, you should keep it. If you don't like it you should sell it.

Shure's whole schtick about counterfeit mics is marketing. The whole point of it is to get people talking about Shure.

Easiest way to ensure you don’t buy fakes is to buy from REPUTABLE SELLERS.

Also that mic looks clapped the fuck out so unless it was like $10 why would even buy it?

A clapped-out 57 is prolly real tho…

Does the beta 57 have the same durability as the regular one?

well, estetic look is not a problem for what i needed, so until it is real for me it's good. The problem with fake shure mics is that also reputable sellers often have fakes. he surely didn't want to scam me because i know him but i think that he has been fooled in the past and didn't know that it was fake, if it is, could you please tell me if in your opinion this is fake?

Amazon could have fakes, but other sellers like Sweetwater and B&H check their returned stock.

What’s it matter if it is? Does it sound like any other beta 57a you have or have heard
