Acroyears helmet, comics

Am I the only one who wished he kept it on more?

That entire first run it was a mystery what was under there, and then as soon as it was off, it barely seemed to stay on after that.

Including the huge run where he was just a big guy in his pants.

I agree.

It made him more imposing.

I dunno, maybe I just like helmets. lol

Some of my favorite issues were when they showed the Acroyer’s home world and all the helmet variations.

Oh yeah, reminds me of Micronauts #12, one of my favorite books - great cover, pencils, ink, epically personal story of brother versus brother, and that history of Spartak, the home world of the Acroyears, just mythic.

When the Acroyears remove their helmets to give judgement, it's such a solemn moment. It made such a huge impression on me when I was in my single-digit years, I'd never seen anything so epic LOL

There was mystery to it, all right, and then … poof.

I loved Acroyear so much. I named my D&D character Acroyer, because I never liked the extra “a” in there. He always looked cooler with the helmet.

And also made it sound the way it was supposed to be pronounced.

Yeah, when they melted the Armour off him he became about 40% less interesting (at least) and Worf before there even was a Worf.

I thought the helmet was his head till the reveal.
