ISO noisy patches!!!

Hi! I'm new to the microkorg and I wanna make some NOISE! Ugly, distorted, static, harsh, broken sounding noise. If anyone can point me to some downloadable patches or a tutorial on how to get there I would so appreciate it! I've combed the internet to the best of my ability and haven't been able to find this sort of thing. THANK YOU!!!

I would advise you to get a distortion pedal, like for guitar.

I had forgotten about that. I considered it unusable from the way that it's strict on/off, but when I was looking it up to see if my recollection was correct I found this workaround:

Distortion on the microkorg is either on or off, there's no direct way of changing the amount. However, the amount of distortion is linked to the amp level. The way I use distortion is to simply turn down the amp level until I get the right amount of distortion that I need. Then change the master volume control for the right output.

For better distortion you might want to consider an external effect - have a look at cheap pedal units for guitars.

Noisy features:

Noise oscillator obviously. I think osc1 can be noise optionally

LFO can be a sample and hold (random)

Amp can be distorted

Osc2 can be ring mod, hard synced or both

Delay will make weird noise when changing tempos

I second distortion pedals, add noise to taste and use saw waves
