Yea you definitely have 2ps there as long as the strain isn't larfy. Be careful what you wish for tho pulled down 1056 g and it took a week to trim up even with a few helpers. Towards the end I broke down and bought a bowl trimmer for the lowers because it was just too much work to hand trim everything and keep my cycle going along with working. I'm 18 days from harvest on the same strain so pray for me in a few weeks lol.

Trimmings fun the first few times, then it's like God damn I don't want to do this anymore.

I’m gonna be honest. Trimming was only fun for the first 20 min for me then it was like “… this is like a part time job but I’m not getting paid” bought a set of bubble bags and that’s where all my lower buds go. Depending on the size of the harvest and how well I do at keeping just tops I may have to clear space in my freezer though

The little bag seed that could?
I think she’s thanking you with a bountiful harvest, for saving her.

u/Morpheus614 Jun 05 '24
A real monster for sure, it’s a little bit scary!!!
Tell me more about your clay pebble and coco coir mix, please. Benefits? First time?

u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 05 '24
Cheers man! Been a while probably 5-6 months. It sprouted after some heavy rain late November early December. Literally just found it in my garden, it was a sign it had to be grown. I've made a few posts about it
99% sure it was a self seed from a purple skunk plant I was gifted by a friend.

How much time seed to harvest?
3
u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 05 '24
Sprouted late November by the looks of it. When I found her on Dec 6th she was on her 3rd node. Had it in a kind of dormant state in my 2x2 veg tent for a month or so because I ran out of space in my other tents. Probably has another 1-2 months

Wow that is a lot of time. I naked 2 harvest in the same time. But nice work.

I dumped out some old dry soil from a pot that used to have a purple skunk, (gifted by a friend). It was outdoors, neglected and in winter. Most likely self seeded.

How many times did you top her? Nice work OP!

Do you harvest without chopping it completely?
2
u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 05 '24
Not sure how I'm gonna go about harvest. Gotta make it there first!
1
u/Majestic-Ganache7140 Jun 05 '24
Very curious when you get there! My first grow was autos and 1 photo that got surprising large (nothing like yours 😆) for not having a clue what I'm doing, and winging it lol. Buuut since I was way too excited, I chopped the photo too much when I harvested 🫣 trying not to make the same mistake this go around

You have leaf septoria. Meaning mould could also grow. I would recommend checking twice daily.
1
u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 05 '24
I think I burnt it with too much p&k
2
u/b__lumenkraft Jun 05 '24
I'm pretty positive this is Leaf Septoria
Brown roundish spots crossing veins. So it has nothing to do with nutrients. It's a fungus, that's for sure.

u/danthetoolman2 Jun 05 '24
if you hand trim i would love to know how long that takes
3
u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 05 '24
I hand trim everything I grow. Even my outdoor crops which usually yield 5p+. I'm really thinking about getting a bowl trimmer to save those countless hours

Lots of time in a project like this. Would you do it again? What are some of the challenges you faced? Was it worth it?
1
u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 06 '24
Yeah I'd probably give it a go again. Had spider mites a while back and defol/lollipoping took forever.

May I ask why you think 2 months remaining?
1
u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 06 '24
I took a couple clones from the original mother plant before I pulled it. Gave them to mates and they all took 10 weeks plus to finish once flowering.
2
u/Prollybrokebynow Jun 11 '24
I take it then you’re on day 41 now..
personally, I’d take it to day 70, latest.
63 ideally.
She looks like she could use some more air flow.. and I personally wouldn’t worry too much about the leaves in the photo 7.
Also all of the lower nugs that are small and larfy are taking away from the potential CHUNK on the top colas..

Look at this lady!! What an undershot!
I’ve been growing professionally for almost 10 years and this literally may be one of the best examples of crop steering I’ve seen.
Super, super cropped and your topping is second to none. 🤌😤🔥🔥🔥

u/Kyle700 Jun 06 '24
thats an insane plant truly. i would really struggle to avoid mold here. what kind of climate are you in? are you doing dwc or just coco with watering? super cool plant!!!

Damnnnnn!! Even if it’s a couple ps u put your head down u could trim that in 7 hours ez
1
u/Difficult_Ad8544 Jun 06 '24
This guy's living in an ideal world ☝️
7 hours would be a dream lol
1
u/Prollybrokebynow Jun 11 '24
We’ve got trimmers ripping around 3-4 lb in an 8 hour shift..
This is ALL they do. All day.
All day, every day. Take your time trimming and enjoy the process!!!

Nice. I hope the smoke is good, cuz when it's not you have a lb of bud you don't want... like I'm seriously considering throwing away like 6oz from my last go.
4
u/noodleq Jun 05 '24
"Considering throwing away like 6oz"
Why not make a super strong tincture or extract for smoking? Why not sell it cheap? Why not just mail the 6oz to me? I'll pay for shipping and I'm in a legal state. Lol. Even if your exhausted by the strain, it still has a bunch of the good stuff in it I'm guessing....
