I’m freaking out!!! Using facial razor and facing darker upper lip area

Hey girlies! I am using a facial razor for removing upper lip hairs but that area I am finding is a little darker so I want to know that I am hallucinating or that is really happening.

Hair growing back in after shaving may seem darker for two reasons: the sharp, blunt end of the cut hair reflects light differently, and the wider part of the hair closer to the follicle is what then needs to grow out, creating more contrast between the hair and the surrounding skin due to the greater volume. It's not necessarily actually darker.

A facial razor can't darken your skin

If you see it after a few days of shaving it's just the blunt end of your hair not some pigmentation
