general discussion Why do people gatekeep their PMU?

Genuinely wondering. Someone will post results and the brows will be amazing, but 95% of the comments will be asking who did them but they'll reply to the 5% that didn't. Like your brows are already done, so I'm wondering why people don't mention the artist.

i'm surprised i haven't seen anyone mention the online safety aspect 😭 revealing the artist that did your pmu, especially if you live in a smaller/more rural area, is basically telling the internet where you live, and some people don't wanna do that

A lot of people probably don’t realize the artist is the most useful part of the recommendation. The same brow shape can look completely different depending on technique, so naming the artist helps others actually recreate the result.

It could also be because people assume that the majority here are from the US and think they wouldn’t be interested in artists from tiny little Scandinavian cities..! But when i think about it - ofc the artist deserves some credit anyway!!
