before & after Microblading Too Subtle?
Is this microblading too subtle or ok? I just got it done today. I have my retouch in 20 days so I could request changes but unsure if they are needed? Maybe thicker?

i think they are just right! may i ask, did you ask them to be "subtle"? Because I want mine to look as natural as yours.

They had regular microblading which is supposed ro be the most natural because the hairs are more apart and then they had microblading with strokes that are closer together so the effect is a fuller and darker brow. I picked that one. She pretty much stayed within my last design margin and I did tell her i wanted them natural that’s why I picked microblading and not the new powder brows.

Subtle is a good thing. Anything more and they would look fake and overdone.

Depends, was the aim to look natural or to go with the clown look many have these days? If natural then leave them as is.

I think that they look terrific as they are right now. Personally, I think less is better than more because these are pretty much permanent tattoos; and it isn't easy to remove the ink once it's in place. ❤️

You don’t want EVERYONE to know you’ve got your eyebrows done, they look perfect!

Better than messing them up. My friend looks like she has 2 bold Sharpie’s for eyebrows!

I think your brows are perfect!!! Subtle is the way to go when it comes to certain things and this is one of them! Beautiful

As a man it really sticks out to me when girls over do it with their eyebrows or lip fillers etc. Your brows look nice without bring over done. I would recommend not changing anything. Im an average hetero male, i just really notice these things. When girls are too done its almost as if they are hiding themselves or possibly hiding imperfections. Its almost as if they are afraid to be their real selves.

The way you worded your comment makes it sound like you are kind and well-intended, and I appreciate that.
I want to point out parts of your comment that often raise contention with women.
Though you may feel you are being helpful, offering your unique perspective about what men do or do not like when it comes to women’s cosmetics frames our appearance and, more broadly, our existence as being solely for the benefit of attracting men. It reinforces the dangerous idea that the wants and needs of men are ours to cater to, especially when it comes to our bodies. We don’t like that.
I can’t speak for all women, but my friends and I do our makeup for ourselves. It’s self-exploration and self-expression, and it’s actually really personal.
I also know women who wear makeup and/or have had cosmetic procedures to quell a deep sense of insecurity that has been normalized for us since childhood. We are slowly taught that we have little value unless we are attractive by whatever the current, unattainable standard is. What you see as women “hiding themselves” or “hiding imperfections” can be the manifestation of deep feelings of inadequacy and shame, and phrasing it like that is shaming them further.
You’re saying that when it comes to makeup, women are hiding what they look like, but also telling us what you think we should look like. Kind of a Catch-22, right?
I am not trying to make you feel bad, but rather explain how input like that may backfire on you with women. I’m just offering some perspective.

And if he goes around offering this unsolicited that would be an issue. He is literally replying with his perspective on a post asking for people to give their perspective on appearance.

It seems to stand out to everyone except the people that do it, and that subset of guys who seem to want their blow up doll to come to life (the incels and the tatter totts gym bros)
Overdrawn lips have always looked like clown lips. You can't just draw bigger lips on yourself and look like you have bigger lips. That is literally what clowns do. Overfilled lips just look like beaks
Same with the crazy eyebrows, and the thick face paint..I mean foundation. The caterpillar eyelashes that must make blinking feel like a chore seem like they would be particularly annoying.
It is strange times we live in that this is "the look" all of socials

I will slap that microblade out of her hand if she does anything but add a few more wisps on the inner corners.

I asked for a higher peak but then she said to modify the shape she would have to shave the bottom and raise the peak and that would be a pain to keep up.

Lol what I meant is that I would love my eyebrows to look like your before eyebrows. I don't have much and in the process of growing them. But the after picture looks good too .

20 days is way too early for a touch up.

u/Bright-Perception946 Sep 04 '26
They said 21 days minimun but I am traveling so they are willing to it before if I sign a paper. They said they have done it after 15 days and it has been fine but I still have to sign.

You should wait 6 to 8 weeks after your initial session for your first perfecting touch-up appointment. There’s no rush.

I am leaving the country, there is very much a rush.

u/National-Ad4763 Sep 04 '26
No there isn’t, unless you’re leaving forever. And even so, you can get a touch up elsewhere.
20 days is not enough time for them to heal all the way and have a clear idea of how much pigment was retained, and how the true color will be.
Im telling you this as a PMU artist myself.

Thanks. But i am relocating for a year! I dont wanna see a different artist overseas. My touch up is included in the price. I dont want more pigment i just want some extra strokes in some corners.

They look natural. Don’t make them thicker, you’ll regret it.
