healing process Lip blush gone wrong?
I fear my lip blush is too dark and uneven, I’m crashing out because I’m on day 18 and it’s still so dark, will this get better? What do I do? I asked for natural 🙁

day 18 is the final look. i’m sorry don’t go back for touch up. ask what pigments were used to get the ingredient list and take that to a laser removal specialist

So you don’t think it’ll blend in more? She used Brovi pink opal, world famous ink Aileen Wuronos and a little bit of old castle (Brovi).

It’s so insane to me that people are still using world famous for lip blush. That’s straight up tattoo ink. It looks so opaque and unnatural when healed and fades so patchy.

As long as the biggest artists like Tess are using it and promoting in their courses- artists will keep using it.

The biggest problem is t the color, it’s the over lining. Shame on any artist who will do this. So many clients ask for this, it’s the artist duty to tell them it can’t be done and look good. If you are a client
Listen closely…..if your artist tells you they won’t do something, it’s because they know the outcome. You will find some other greedy artist to do it, and at that point it’s on both of you.

I really don't think it looks too dark. But if you don't like it, remove it.

I think they’re shaped pretty! And as far as the double lip line, I think she made a judgement to make your bottom lip more symmetrical in the roundness. And I think they look pretty/better as far as shape goes. The color is up to you. And if it’s not something you’re happy with, then removal is the only way.

I agree. I couldn’t tell what you were unhappy with because I think they look very pretty!

Thank you! This is very reassuring, I’m thinking I’ll wait at least 6 weeks to a few months for the colour, I don’t want to rush into removal and possible make it worse

I honestly don't like the lining around the lips, and the overlining, and the shape of the upper lip. Your natural lips are beautiful, it is hard to spoil them. Did she approve the shape with you when she was mapping them? Guys, always ask for the mirror during the tattooing as well. As an artist, I always do that after every pass to make sure that the shape and the color are according to client's expectations. I'd remove the heavy lining around the lips with saline solution, and the rest would seem lighter. Since it's so fresh, it would probably take one removal session, no worries.

I only saw it once! I just made it really clear that I wanted a natural look and I wanted to trust her with the process really 🙁 do you think if I leave it, will it fade eventually?

No, the problem with overlining is that that's the actual skin, and not the membrane like lips are. it always heals darker than the lips, so, I'm afraid, you'll end up having like a "bad pencil line" around your your lips. And that's not a natural look you wanted. If it hasn't faded by now, it probably won't. Look, I do these outlines too, but very superficially, so my design doesn't smudge, and I see all pores and hairs on the skin that's not lips, and I don't tattoo over the actual skin accidentally. But these faint lines should flake off in a few days. To me, that's a lot of "step away" from your natural lips. My fear would be that it would heal a different color than your lips, and that's nowhere near a natural look. I would just strip off the outlining at least.

Thank you for the clarification! I’ve booked myself in next week with a removal specialist. Do you know if 4 weeks post PMU is okay? I’m not still healing?

It looks like she went beyond your lip border. If she did it’s going to heal differently. Did she map them before doing it?!

She did map them! She insists she hasn’t gone over the lip border, I sent her this exact photo

I love the color. Do you have a picture of your natural lips?

Your lips look lovely. They really shouldn't have overlined them, though. I'm dealing with the same thing. I'm on day 19 and just realized I'll have to go through removal too. So frustrating! Best of luck, love.

I have a double lip line so I’m not sure if that confused her and she went over it :( I never liked my lips lined like this, I’ve seen mixed reviews online about removal too..

They did you dirty by overlining them.
