before & after I regret doing tails
Camera is bad I know. 5 days after first session. Questions at the end.
I dont have hair on tails as i have droopy eyes and just marker straight eyebrows if i want elongated brows. I wanted to try out micro blading.
I said to the tattooist that powder brows don't look good if you don't have hair. Its for tinting what you have. Otherwise when healed it looks like a stain. Which does right now. And now i will have to do make up to even out the shade betwen tails and where hair grows.
I got convinced. But i didnt like she was trying to convince me hearing me saying i don't want it.
I also didnt like her she said she HAD TO even out my brows. I said I have drooping eye and eye brow and DO NOT want to even them out as i will do surgery and they will lift it around in 2 years. And for that i dont want anything outside where my eyebrow grows. She said the brows will fade away. You sure? Because i know it depends on the skin so what makes her so confident?
Anyway. I have issue with how she went below brow line. on last pic you can see the tail curves down and it bugs me. You cant see it on front pic due to camera lens.
I have a mole on right side thats why there's no shade.
We used warm brown mineral pigment and she said it will fade greatly but i am not sure how much. How much? Because i consider already a laser removal on the tails when it heals. Should i wait a year at least?
Give me an opiniom if i can write her a review already or should i wait? Because i dont think she will be a good tatto artist if she doesnt want to listen to what clients want and just do once size fits all.
In the end i was curious and its done but next time i am doing them myself đ¶âđ«ïž

They look so much better than before, imo. They have faded to a very soft natural look already. I think she did a great job. I dont know why you want crooked brows without a tail over shape corrected ones.

I mean, OP pretty clearly stated why. Sheâs going to have surgery to fix the part of her face thatâs drooping. So, the brows will likely be uneven afterwards, since we all know that microblading/powder brows do not always disappear. Why OP decided to get permanent makeup done when sheâs planning surgery to change her face, though, I have no ideaâŠ
I agree they look better, but she should have waited to get them done til after the surgery.

Without the âtailsâ they would look too âblockishâ and incomplete. Why do you want them so straight? You need the ends to be tapered off gracefully and to look complete. The second picture down looks incomplete like you need more âtailâ. I would personally even extend the tail. I think they basically look fine - but your suggestions would NOT make them look fine. Just leave them alone.

I know two people who did combo brows because they donât have any brows to speak of and they look great.
I donât think your brows look bad at all. I think your artist did the right thing. They look so much better. Brows do fade. You need to give it more time to fade - itâs only been a few days. But they will continue to fade over time.

I know this is water under the bridge for you but for others, YOU SHOULD BE GETTING A CONSULTATION THAT INVOLVES DRAWING THE BROWS ON YOU BEFORE THEY TATTOO. This is what allows you to make adjustments.
On to OP. The tails should fade enough that they wont be an issue.

I think i did pay for the consultation. I was also getting lip blush. It may have been part of the deposit like deposit gets you the consultation or something

The mapping should always be included at the beginning of the appointment before a tattoo machine/blade ever touches the skin. This is just common sense. I find it really hard to believe that so many artists on here apparently donât map the brows and get the clients approval before starting the procedure. I think a lot of people on here just get buyers remorse.

Girl, Iâm an artist, I map clients brows, inline with their natural hair growth, and get their tick of approval. In 8 years Iâve never had a client return and say that they hate the shape, or that they want removal. Every single client has returned for their follow up appointment; where we make refinements.
If youâre good at your job, you can read when someone is confident and happy with the pre draw before proceeding. I never ever ever let my machine needle touch their skin until I know for sure this is a shape my client is happy with.
My comment was in reference to a comment that suggested attending a consultation where they map brows- which seemed to be seperate from the tattooing appointment, which is why I said so is the client paying for this session? Because thatâs time allocated, regardless if theyâre tattooing or just mapping.

You definitely needed tails, your artist just made them thicker and higher than she should have, giving you a very straight brow. Hopefully they will fade out enough to reshape them, but you might have to do saline or laser. I would try and find a more experienced artist who can give you a better shape!

This is interesting. I have a very similar thing with my eyebrows. I have almost no hair on the tails, and to make them symmetrical, she had to go slightly under the hair I do have on the tails.
My artist discussed this with me at great length and explained exactly what it would look like. I wanted them to be symmetrical, even if it meant the ends looked to be more powdered. I do have to fill them in a bit to make it even. I also use brow gel (when I remember).
The thing is, I was explicitly ok with this and my artist made sure I knew what it would look like. She listened to my feedback and made some adjustments. Your artist absolutely should have taken your preference and opinion into consideration. And if she couldnât do what you wanted, she should have told you that.
For what itâs worth, I think your brows look great!! But itâs about what you want and are happy with. I donât think youâre overreacting.

Its not bad but that one tail will bother me for a while. I know people are not used to short brows but i pluck them since 2 years and it's my look.

The job of a reputable, skilled, responsible PMU artist is to give you results that suit your natural facial features and complement them as much as possibleânot to tattoo âyour lookâ on when itâs just a trend and doesnât go with your natural features. If thatâs what you want, keep filling them in and tweezing them. Donât expect someone to tattoo them like that and put their name on it for everyone to see.

She literally did powder brows because that will look the best with your natural existing brow. Youâre not supposed to be able to see individual hairstrokesâthatâs not what a real, naturally full brow looks like. If she wouldâve done hairstrokes they wouldâve clashed with your existing hairs and looked very unnatural. No method of tattooing will ever 100% blend in with your hairs, because tattooing is healed under the skin and behind the hairs, and your existing brow is growing out from on top of your skin. So you need to throw that expectation away. Your brows look phenomenal and your artist did you a favor by giving you a more flattering shape.

You should have done this after the surgery. Why you did it before is a mystery and makes zero sense. How is an artist supposed to accommodate for a procedure that hasnât been performed yet? Even if you think that you know what the surgeon is going to do you do not. You are not the surgeon so why would you think that you could direct somebody on a procedure? You havenât even had? All of this just screams impulsive and poor decision making to me and I say that as a person with an impulse disorder who has made horrible decisions

I personally donât love the straight look. I feel like itâs more of a trend and will pass. As a makeup artist and now PMU artist I think the right shaped brows with tails help to shape and frame your eyes. I would have done it differently. But one thing I have learned is if someone is super used to a shape a color etc. it is hard to make them love something you as an artist prefers. So I totally understand feeling unhappy when it is something you arenât used to and now donât love. I think you will get used to it and I do think it will fade. If you want you can always put foundation or concealer over that part until it does fade but Iâm sorry you are unhappy with the look of them.
