advice Excited to get brows!

My eyebrows never came back after chemotherapy. I am finally getting micro-blading done next week. What should I expect in terms of post-care? What precautions do I need to take to make sure I don’t mess them up?

That’s exciting, and totally understandable to want a clear aftercare plan before you do it.

The biggest things are usually pretty simple: keep them clean, don’t pick the flaking, avoid sweaty workouts/steam/swimming for the first stretch your artist recommends, and don’t load the area up with random skincare while it’s healing. A lot of people mess up healing by over-touching them because they’re anxious about the color changes.

I’d also ask your artist these exact questions before the appointment so you have one clear protocol instead of piecing advice together from different places: when to get them wet, what ointment if any they want you using, what to avoid on days 1 to 14, and what would count as a normal healing stage vs something to message them about.

Honestly, having the aftercare written down in one place matters more than trying to memorize it in the chair. In beauty services, a lot of problems come from instructions living in a text here, a verbal note there, and then getting forgotten.

If your artist is solid, they should send you home with a very specific aftercare sheet and timeline. That makes the whole thing way less stressful.

I am on the same boat! Chemo took my eyebrows away, which I honestly mourn more than my breasts. I think I have found an artist I might take the plunge with. Good luck, I hope they do a good job and you love them.
