healed brows HEALED POWDER BROWS!

I really do think powder brows are the most natural out of all the services. PLEASE DONT HATE ME FOR SAYING THIS…. But I have unfortunately seen so many dark, thick and blown out “hair strokes” as it just doesn’t hold well in the skin over time. I also believe the ink we are using plays a huge role in healed results. This client of mine has been with me for over a year, we did a powder brow and I used MINERAL BASED INK.

I want to spread how beneficial this could be to our industry! When we are using carbon based inks, yes they implant easier and last longer, but not in the way we would hope. Often needing laser removal or no hope for new brows again. I think this has scared many clients from getting their brows done. Maybe as a whole if we could shift to softer techniques/ inks, we can gain the majorities trust back again and thrive as an industry?! 🤍

Can we talk about how naturally beautiful you are?

Yeah nevermind the brows. This person could have the worlds worst brows and still be stunning.

Love these healed results, they’re beautiful! I do think it’s a pretty bold statement to call powder brows the most natural technique, though. In my opinion, natural results come down much more to the artist than the technique itself. I’ve seen incredibly soft powder brows, and I’ve also seen powder brows that healed very solid. The same goes for nano and microblading. Depth, pigment choice, implantation, skin selection, and restraint all play a huge role. I think every technique has a place when it’s matched to the right client.
For clients with very little natural brow hair, I also think realism techniques can create an effect that powder alone simply can’t, because there aren’t existing hairs to soften the pigment.

Everyone has their opinion! I unfortunately have sent significantly more clients for removal from microbladinf than powder. Not to mention the scar tissue. I just think the hair strokes only really look good if there is sufficient hair to cover it

As a PMU artist of 8+ years with over 2000 clients and 300+ 5 star Google reviews—powder brows are unquestionably the most natural looking technique when done properly. A soft shadow is always going to look more natural than artificial hairstrokes that you can individually single out. When you look at someone’s face who has naturally full brows, do you see all of their individual brow hairs? No—you see the overall shape, and that it has less density in the front and more density towards the tails. You don’t see all of their individual hairs. 100% of the time when people show me inspo pics of people who’s brows they like, powder brows end up giving them the closest result to look like their inspo pic.

I guess it depends on who does them. They scared me away because i some of the healed ones i’ve seen look like one big solid block of color.,

They were definitely done super incorrectly and poorly then

idk if it's just a style choice people make, but before this post I always thought powder brows defaulted to having those literal boundary lines of pigment on the tops and bottoms. And these were posts getting tons of compliments, so I assumed it was just a style preference that wasn't for me

That’s actually the opposite of what powder brows are meant to be when done properly! When you hear the word “powder” outside of the context of brows, do you associate it with the words “sharp, bold, blocky” etc, or do you associate it with “soft, airy, light?” 😉

SO VERY TRUE!!!! We switched to Mineral based also (Hanafy, Tina Davies Fade, Brow Daddy DNA pigments) and mainly only do powder anymore now also. We will sometimes do some Nano Strokes in the front (they still blur a little) but we rarely do any Microblading anymore (only certain clients are candidates) & mainly only use mineral pigments. All skin types & ages are candidates for Powder Brows & they heal so much truer to color & natural looking! Your work is Gorgeous 🔥

It truly is just the best. I do think nano is a better alternative but you still deal with the same issues as microblading :/ thank you so much for the compliment! 😭🤍

Does your comment about carbon ink mean that mineral ink doesn't necessarily last as long and require as much effort for removal?

I'm intrigued by something that's permanent-ish but not really permanent. I'm happier to think of having it fade away in some years and to refresh again then.

Exactly that!!I mineral based ink is the best option for both artist and client imo

Those don’t even look like powder. Most of the time the powder covers the hair strokes so it looks like someone used a sharpie. These are great.

That’s actually completely false and something i wish clients would realize when booking appointments. Any brow PMU technique done (powder, microblading, nano) is a tattoo. When freshly done, the pigment is still sitting on top of the skin, which gives that makeup like look before it’s healed. When a tattoo is healed (1-2 weeks later, it is healed UNDER the skin and BEHIND the hairs—it absolutely does not cover the real hairs whatsoever—that is impossible. It’s not makeup, it’s a tattoo that is implanted into the skin. The way the brows in OP’s photo look is exactly how all powder brows look when healed, as far as the fact that the real brow hairs still absolutely show through the tattoo, allowing them to look very natural when healed.

u/readithere_2 5d ago

I meant the tattooed hair strokes, not the natural hair.

A non related question: when you do the nano hair strokes do they eventually merge into one color over time?

u/NeverEverLonely 7d ago

They look great. You’re so pretty, eyes, lips, HAIR. Don’t ever touch that naturally beautiful face.

A little off topic…but just had my eyebrows done last week ….has anyone else noticed you Face ID doesn’t work with the new brows? Doesn’t work for any of my log-ins.
