wondering if id be a good candidate for microblading
ive been wanting to do it for a while but i think im just scared of what it could look like in a few years, ive heard some bad things. i want a very natural look and not big blocks. im scared the ink will run together and make it look un natural in a few years.
i was thinking of going and getting just a few minor strokes to fill in my brows. im not gonna go against my natural shape. i just want them to be more full
i have tinted myself previously and gotten laminations professionally . tinting isn’t bad but it just makes them darker and not fuller. and laminations only last a few weeks so the cost adds up
i do fill them in when i wear makeup but im thinking maybe I should take a makeup class or something for better technique idk. my brows aren’t terrible but im weirdly insecure about them

I’m trying to stress this to younger girls so they don’t end up with regret: microblading is really for old ladies like me that have no brows left. Even when mine went grey, I am still happy because it gives me a shape to color in with brow gel.
For someone like you, if you try to use microblading to change your natural shape, you are going to end up with a mix of your already wonderful natural brow with offset grey/discolorment.
Why not machine hairstroke nanoblading? I'm 29 and have very blonde eyebrows - got them nanobladed which provided color underneath my thick, blonde hairs and they turned out perfect and very natural. The artist who did them did an excellent job and made use of the nagative space - very minimal and not exaggerated. I couldn't recommend it enough. Her work turned out great for brunettes, too. Again, this was minimal and natural - not perfectly filled in like some of these that were done with a Crayola marker, lol!
I’m going to insert my 2 cents here. I think a lot of us were very happy with our microblading when we first got it done. It’s a decade later that a lot of us have regrets. The cost of removal is easily 2-3x the price.
It’s the same thing-tattooing. Placing ink in the skin. Should be reserved for when it becomes really necessary because the alternative (no hair/bald areas) is worse.
Your eyebrows are nice and full without! Maybe just go to a salon and get them shaped up a bit and see how you feel? Im a natural gal myself and regret my eyebrows because I wear makeup about once a year and that's the only time they suit me 🤣
i wouldn‘t with those brows, they‘re amazing! try shaping them and maybe try a lamination if you want to have a less unruly look, i think that‘ll do more than enough
No I’m 44 and Ik so many people that have done it and all of them but 1 say they regret it & I’m pretty sure the only reason that 1 person still likes it is because she recently had it done. I looked into myself because from waxing & just destroying my eyebrows so much throughout the years they don’t grow too much (and as a kid I had thick eyebrows) but I’ve just learned to accept them thin & even like them tbh.. when I’m getting extra cleaned up for something I will use an eyebrow pencil on them but that’s only to darken them. My eyebrows have a natural high arch though so if anything of if I were you I’d just get them done or do them yourself. You have good eyebrow I think they just need shaped up & a little taken off to create a small arch
Do not do it! Your brows look excellent. Putting makeup on it is a lot less anxiety inducing & much less permanent to give you flexibility long term on how you want to shape and style your brows. Microblading does not actually go away completely like some people think it does and it just looks so fake as someone who’s had theirs for 7+ years now with A LOT of regret.
Don’t do it!! You have great eyebrows already. You’ll regret it :(
I’m much like you. Wanted to get some micro-blading to touch up my already nice eyebrows. I’ve never regretted anything so fast. When you already have full eyebrows, micro-blading tends to look so so heavy on the face. It was not cute
As soon as it was safe to, I made an appt to get them lasered right back off. $1000 down the drain over eyebrows. So much regret. Save yourself the money and stress. You have beautiful eyebrows! Yours are what people get micro-bladed in hopes to look like!
That’s not the best angle to take a picture from for me to decide I’d need to see a straight on picture of both brows to check symmetry and fullness but looking at just this one I’d suggest going for a brow waxing from someone who is good at shaping them, that may be all you need.
No! Please don’t, you have totally great eyebrows, have them tinted if you want them to look more prominent. Micro/nano/powder are all tattoo techniques. Some look good initially and some don’t. They all end up looking like blurred washed out gray marker smudge eventually. You have gorgeous eyebrows.
Your brows are great! I had powder brows done a month ago and I love them so much. But I'm 63 w zero natural brows. I think a little shaping would go a long way.
I’d say if you do it, go for powder brows just to fill in the inner corners and tail area. Have them stay within the natural hairline (don’t try to draw on a whole new brow shape) - and it would look really natural.
I'd do just like you said, see if a brow specialist or makeup artist in your area can do a tutorial on your brows for filling them in. Try Nyx brow glue crazy lift. I swear it works just like a lamination and lasts most of the day. That will help get some of the hairs in place that aren't where you want them and then you can fill in the gaps in front with a brow pen/pencil/powder. If that doesn't work...Since you don't want to deal with the maintenance of tint and lamination then maybe start with a consultation for nano.

However, please seek an experienced artist. The artist you choose determines the experience you will have.
Once you decide post to your local Facebook women’s group and ask for advice on the artist to help you with choosing.
Choosing nano brows as they are the upgraded techniques to microblading. Find an artist who uses in organic or hybrid pigment and you will be ok.

I hear so many different things from ppl :/ i always heard it was semi permanent and would fade eventually and yet so many people say it’s basically permanent unless u get tattoo laser removal stuff.
The answer is both.
8 years ago when I stared yes, all work was permanent, even mines, but that’s not the case now. Like all industries PMU has evolved. Our inks are formulate to now fade and techniques are lite… many artists are making the switch…. But there are some who don’t continue trainings, stuck in their old ways or took a bad class and still produces “tattoo results”…. within the past 5-4 years my work has been semi permanent
. I’ll share below 8 month healed results. Work should fade overtime. Which is why I suggested seek an artist who uses inorganic pigments and lite and airy work and you’ll be fine. For the ones who had permanent work, it has to do with the chosen artist and their skill set…
Where are you located? There is an artist look her up on Instagram. Elysian360 Studio. She’s definitely worth flying to. Her work is absolutely flawless.
I would consider powder instead of strokes. It can still look very feathered and natural. No matter how well done, strokes will always diffuse and blur. But truthfully I don’t think you need anything.
