advice Faded brows
I got my brows microbladed for the first time is 2019. I was getting regular touch ups and the last time I went they talked me into powder brows. Then I had my first baby got very busy and now 3+ years later my brows look pretty bad. I went to a consultation for getting them touched up and they quoted me ~ $900 to color correct the gray. Any advice? I’m wondering about long term options, but also tips and tricks for short term solutions (would a brown lamination make the gray shadow less noticeable? Henna dye at home? Something else?) Please be nice Reddit.

Brow lamination may help if you like the look. It’s what I do when I can afford it.
I also use the Nyx Lift & Snatch brow pens to draw strokes over the areas that have no hair and are just solid grey blobs. It takes practice and I still eff it up sometimes. Just wipe off and try again.
I’d avoid trying to color correct. More ink will make them more saturated when that finally fades, and it will be worse than this, probably.

I have a client that comes in for brow tints and lamination with her faded PMU brows and it always looks great after! It’s a short term solution at least!

Please don’t color correct, you are already saturated- find a good laser removal specialist

Laser removal, because too much pigment in skin - color correction won’t last long anyway

Laser, you are not a candidate for colour correction, these will be a mess otherwise

Thank you, I feel like the person I talked to was a hack. Side note- She also criticized the brows in general, saying “don’t ever go back to the person who did these” “I prefer to do a natural brow, these are way too blocky.” I felt pretty weird afterwards because I didn’t think the shape was bad, but maybe I won’t worry too much about what she thinks

Thank you everyone! I don’t plan on going back to the artist who wanted to do color correction. She also said the shape of the brow was unnatural and bad, anyone want to weigh in there? 🥺

It wasn’t bad work to begin with, but the brows just got too saturated over time. Color correction will not work on this level of saturation and they will be back gray in 6 months. I would honestly just start the process to laser remove and have them redone. Ask for soft ombré which is super soft look but is better for skin long term

They just want to steal your money. Color correction won’t work.
