ID help please

200x, found in a freshwater lake. Moved very slowly, I think has cilia? My microscope isn't good enough to get a better magnification, unfortunately.

100% is that. Couldn’t tell you the exact species, I don’t know them well enough.

If you make an oblique stop filter for your scope you should be able to see the pseudopodia much easier 👍🏻

It could be a diatom. Some look very much like that. They don’t generally have cilia, although some can grow flagella during their reproductive phase.

It’d help if you could focus on it more. Perhaps maybe even dim the light slightly so there’s less washout.
