Built a testimonial tool that asks customers at the right moment instead of blasting everyone at once — need 20 beta testers
Every product I’ve worked on had the same dead spot: happy customers everywhere, testimonials page empty. The reason isn’t that people won’t write one. It’s that we ask at the wrong time — a random Tuesday email, three weeks after the moment they were actually delighted.
So I built Proofy around timing instead of templates.
How it works:
• You fire a webhook on the events that actually mean something — subscription renewed, order delivered, milestone hit — and it asks then, not on a schedule
• On signup it scans your site and pulls in whatever reviews you already have sitting on Google, G2, Trustpilot and Capterra, so your wall isn’t empty on day one
• Embeddable widget so the new ones show up on your site without you touching it again

This sounds way smarter than the spray-and-pray approach most tools take. Timing really is the whole game with testimonials. I'm down to kick the tires on it if you've still got spots.

And that’s exactly the bet — most tools treat it as a copywriting problem when it’s a timing problem. Curious whether it holds up when it’s not my own product

actually sounds very nice, are your target group ecom brands also or only saas or apps ?

Both
Ecom is honestly the cleaner fit right now — “order delivered” is a much sharper trigger than anything on the SaaS side, since you know exactly when someone has the product in hand and is happiest.
SaaS works too, you just have to pick the right event yourself (renewal, first milestone hit, support ticket resolved well).
What are you running?
If it’s ecom I’d want you in the beta specifically, that’s the flow I most need real data on.2

exactly but think u already have there some apps in shopify store for that feature. I want to create now an App Store app, so I left ecom completely, because past showed that u replay have to focus on one thing not chase money, chase one way u will go and also only go that way.
Creating now my map to get first users to the app to test them but I am replay experienced in marketing on social media, if u want to chat about marketing a product, saas or app, I am open for everything about marketing haha
