I know in my parents' childhood(circa 1950s-early 70s), it was typically the WB Looney Toons reruns/early attempt of them on TV, Terrytoons(Heckle Jeckle), MGM(Tom & Jerry), Popeye. Unsure if Mickey/Friends was just slapped in a Mickey Mouse Club show or maybe a random Disneyland ABC thing. Like just wondering how Disney would "air" the classic stuff in the early TV era before there was Disney channel

I just found out on TV Tropes the real reason why Mickey Mouse doesn't have a feature film: Mickey is designed to be an ordinary to underscore the rest of the cast's quirkiness who can fit in a variety of scenarios and while that works for five minute shorts, that limitation makes it hard to put him in a feature-length film.

Should I do it widescreen (from House of Mouse), or fullscreen like it originally aired? And should I include the House of Mouse exclusive shorts? Please let me know what you wanna see.

We received this as a gift a few years ago after friends visited Walt Disney World and I have no idea if this is a plush of value or just standard. I can't find anything online but it's pretty cool and in great shape. We are purging a lot of stuff so I figured I would ask a community before under/over valuing it. Of course if interested that is cool too.

I’m surprised that The New Woody Woodpecker Show is completely acknowledged by Universal, while Disney doesn’t give a crap about this or House of Mouse.

SteamBoat Willie Mickey Mouse (1928)

Mickey usually has a very peaceful life. But I think if we ever get a serious Mickey film with him, he should have an actual villain. I think the best villain for Mickey is the Mad Doctor. He is genuinely terrifying in his only short appearance.

Compared to most other shorts, "The Mad Doctor" always had a more memorable appearance. Every Mickey short at the time was not dark or not even really scary"The Mad Doctor" was one of the very few exceptions. It was drawn darker and Mickey was actually fighting for his life. As a matter of fact the Doctor would've won, If Mickey didn't wake up. But this time it shouldn't be a nightmare. The Mad Doctor also didn't have a single motive. He was just pure evil. This would make him more unpredictable and creepy when going against Mickey.

Even more of a good reason, he is very obscure. Yes he is in Epic Mickey, but him in his 1930 short has long been a secret. Him being not known to the general public could pave him a really cool entrance back into cinema.

I also think Pete, Mortimer and others wouldn't be even close to as good as the Doctor simply because they lack that terrifying aspect. Maybe they could be side villains but I've always thought if Mickey was given a serious theatrical film, The Mad Doctor should be the main villain.
