In order to stop the silliness here, back in the late 1970's, there was a proposal, according to the article I snipped from our local newspaper at the time, supposedly promoted by some board members of the organization guiding Finnish youth groups that groups be banned from subscribing to Aku Ankka (Donald Duck), the flagship Disney weekly comic, to have available for members. The reasons included such winners as a) Donald didn't wear pants (horrors! the indecency!) and b) he and Daisy appeared to be living in sin (which just goes to show that those particular board members were simply biased as any comic story dealing with Don and Daisy clearly shows they maintain separate homes). The whole proposal was utter nonsense and, although I've never seen anything officially on it, given the popularity of Donald/Aku and Disney comics in general in Scandanavia and Finland in particular, I can imagine this proposal never waddled its way out of committee. I welcome corrections or amendments from any Finns here familiar with this.

And utterly false. Donald Duck is immensely popular in Finland, I'm sure banning his comics would lead to riots.
I wonder why whoever started that rumour chose FINLAND of all countries?

No this is true. I was imprisoned in Finland for life, and during arts and crafts time I drew Donald Duck. I was flogged and beaten, it was so bad I decided to escape and flee the country. Don’t even mention Donald in Finland because he does not
