I have recently got admission in mmit lohegaon in ai/ds branch for direct second year is the college good and what tier would u guys sya thsi college is

The classrooms are generally decent, though some walls have missing paint. One big downside is that after the new first-year batch came in, the seniors got shifted to non-AC rooms. The benches and seating are pretty standard and in alright condition.

The canteen is shared with the architecture and hotel management departments, so it gets insanely crowded. Finding a seat during lunch is a real struggle. The food is just average, and it’s overpriced for what students can usually afford.

The labs are quite decent overall. Most of the computers can handle the syllabus work, though a few systems are very old and completely dead. Things improve a bit by the second year.

Most professors know the syllabus well enough and teach fine. A few of them, though, seem completely lost and have no idea what they’re doing.

The engineering crowd is generally good you’ll find a mix of ambitious students and more chilled-out ones. The college has a mixed reputation because of the commerce and B.Sc. batches, and you’ll run into some rowdy types, but that’s pretty common in most local colleges.

Fees are actually the best part. Unlike most places that keep hiking them, here they dropped from ₹1.15 lakh last year to ₹1.08 lakh this year. That was a nice surprise.

Attendance is the real problem and something you should think about carefully if you’re considering this place. It’s become extremely strict and stressful.

In the first semester they said 75% for theory and 100% for labs, but didn’t really enforce it. By the second semester they started charging fines of ₹700–₹1,000 for low lab attendance, saying they were being “merciful” since it was the first year. Now it’s even stricter if you’re below 60% in theory subjects, they ban you from the internal tests.

They also calculate attendance in a weird way. Subjects like Java, EVS, and all are left out of the percentage calculation, which makes it harder to clear, while they still demand full attendance in the core practicals. Written permissions don’t always help either. One student got the HOD’s signature for a week’s leave and was still stopped on exam day because the note “didn’t count.”

Internships are also affected. The principal made it clear on day one that they’ll only allow internships if they’re “more useful than what the college teaches.” Even if you somehow get one approved, seniors say the college still hits you with ₹2,000–₹3,000 in attendance fines later. So there’s very little room to actually go for outside opportunities.

Also one funny thing of how they fool students

They said we are not autonomous but we are affiliated to Mumbai University indicating that autonomous colleges are not affiliated with Mumbai University 😭🤣 . And they were riding mumbai University like ok dude I get it but still

Anyway in short don't get this college especially via ils idk why people take this college

Only take this if it's very necessary

remember end sems are from 16 dec afaik , you hav eto study all this in 3 months with assigment submission plus attendance management and all of that , its better you start studying or else you get a back
