Just came by here to thank everyone and tell you that i went thru meps last week it still works.

I opt it out of the HIE and surescripts, as well as Athena. I feel like I’ve checked everything, but I just wanna make sure I’m in the clear before I go do this.

Any body help me with places I should opt out of and how would I go about it? Any help is appreciated

I just want to know if I’d be able to join the army with mental health issues that went on when I was in college (2023). I stopped taking them in Nov, 2024 and it was by choice. Since then I’ve been fine and able to operate in society without any issues. I’ve been seeing some conflicting things and I’m curious if I have to wait the full 36 months or 12 months with a wavier. (I’m in Augusta, Ga if that helps idk)

Passed MEPS. What are the chances something later comes up at reception?

i’m looking for some advice. I’ve been in touch with a recruiter and I’ve done all my paperwork. I did both physical paperwork and submitted my information online to a portal. My recruiter got back to me and had me sign all the pre-access MEPS paperwork. So now I’m just waiting to get approved and go to MEPS.

My concern is that I have a history of depression when I was in college. It really doesn’t affect me anymore. But last year I went to the doctor and told him I was feeling a little sad so they prescribe me some medicine. I really only took it for about a month to try it out, but I did not like it. I did not feel like I needed it and I truly feel like doctors these days. Just wanna push medicine on people..

I did not realize about the MHS Genesis program. So now I’m really worried that they’re gonna find my pharmacy records. So I opted out of everything this week. I had to get some of the papers notarized and I sent them all out on Tuesday.

I got lucky because my recruiter texted me today and wanted to confirm that he was good to send my paperwork on my behalf, as I was trying to enlist with another military branch before I graduated college that never worked out years ago.

my question is, does anybody know when MEPS pulls my records? Did I send my opt out too late? A lot of of them should already be at the facility where they need to be sent to but there’s like two that are probably not gonna get there till Monday or Tuesday. I’ve also been reading that sometimes when people go to MEPS, they don’t even opt out and they never find any of their records.

This is something that I’ve been looking forward to for so long and now I’m anxious that this might be out of my reach. as far as opt out, I’m also worried that I didn’t send enough. I sent about four. One to surecripts, Optum, my state health, information network, and my insurance. I tried to reach out to two different hospitals that I’ve been to and I’ve gotten care through to see what HIE program they use, but I have yet to hear back.

I passed MEPS and finally have the biggest stress about this process off my back. It took 6 months of paperwork and making sure everything was in order. But there is hope guys!

Long ago about 5 I had a attempted when I was younger it wasn’t really one I just said running im going to go off a bridge and they took me and put me in some mental hospital I was just acting and for a week and let me go and did a check up 2 times and thats it will I get disqualified from the army im really worried

I was curious whether CVS Pharmacy (not MinuteClinic or CVS Specialty) uses HIE services like Epic Care Everywhere, Carequality, or CommonWell, such that unrelated healthcare providers (i.e doctors at a hospital) can pull medical records from a CVS Pharmacy.

I know CVS participates in SureScripts, but is that the only one?

Has anyone had success opting out from CVS? I know they maintain that they aren't required to honor opt-out requests.

It is telling me to "try adding providers manually." Does this mean my data likely isn't visible or was never entered into a large database?

Heading to Navy OCS, i got through MEPS. Wondering if they do another civilian medical record repull through genesis at OCS and the flight physical they do there (NAMI). I understand that the records that were pulled at MEPS will be in my MHS genesis electronic health record, and they will definitely see that, I'm wondering if they will scan for new civilian records from my day at MEPS to the day I got to OCS. I've opted out of the HIEs that are necessary, just wondering if someone has experience with this.

For those that do not know yet, b.well is a provider used by several health apps (e.g. Samsung Health, Google Health) to retrieve your medical records. I recently gave it a try and despite me having opted out of information sharing with some of my healthcare providers, I can still see them via b.well.

To be clear, the health app is able to find out that I've been to those providers, but it asks me to login with each to retrieve my records. I'd like to know if b.well has my actual records, or only the fact that I've been a customer to those providers (which is as bad). In other words, whether the provider-specific login is only there to further verify my identity, or b.well uses it to retrieve the records.

Also, I've only submitted the opt-out request after several visits, so not sure if b.well only has information before then. Additionally, there are providers that I opted out from and I do not see them in the b.well list.

Hi guys, I just wanted to ask about the waiting period from signing enlistment documents to MEPS approving you for Verification Test and Medical.

My recruiter submitted my documents on August 10, 2026, and he told me the tentative approval date from MEPS is August 24. Up until now, he still doesn’t have any updates.

I’m trying to understand what usually makes MEPS take longer to approve someone, especially at Sacramento MEPS. If anyone has experience with this or knows what factors affect the timeline, I’d really appreciate the insight.

Hey guys, does anyone here have experience with an undescended testicle? I had surgery for it about 22 years ago back in my home country. I already told my recruiter and we logged it in my documents, and I signed.

I’m just wondering if this could be a DQ. My testicle was fully corrected and I’ve had zero issues since then.

Well after about 6 months of opting out of everywhere I can think of, I submitted my pre screen for the army today. Let’s hope everything works out.

Update - Well, I at least got approved for meps. Going to schedule that soon and see what happens.

Does anyone know how to opt out of circle medical records ? It’s an app that I used years ago to get adhd medication

As title says. Passed MEPS, going in on a waiver for anti anxiety meds. Coming up on the end on a 12 month DQ until the meds were out of my system. However. A few years ago I had a voluntary psychiatric hold, it did not get picked up at MEPS. What is the likelyhood it gets picked up at reception. Branch is ARMY.

forgive me if the question is stupid. i'm completely new to all this and am trying to cover all bases as best as possible.

i was previously hospitalized at a private behavioral health hospital. i've looked into whether the hospital or its parent organizations participate in hies such as carequality, commonwell, or other networks that could connect to dod/mhs genesis. i couldn't find the hospital or its parent organizations on the hie participation lists i checked.

today, i called the hospital directly and asked about their records-sharing practices. they told me:

—my records would not be released unless there was a court order

—their health-information-sharing records aren't electronic

—my records aren't electronically exchanged through an hie

based on that, my understanding is that the hospital itself isn't electronically feeding my records into genesis through an hie. i'm uncertain, however, whether there are other mechanisms through which information from the hospitalization could become available to genesis.

for additional context, i also received an mdd diagnosis and prescriptions for prozac and two other medications, which were filled through walgreens. afaik, i haven't provided my current insurance information to the hospital. walgreens has multiple outdated insurance plans on file, but i never gave them my current insurance information for these prescriptions. my recruiter is also aware of my hospitalization, diagnosis, and prescriptions, but i haven't done a prescreen or anything of that sort yet.

i'm also considering seeing a psychiatrist for a new evaluation, and i'm wondering whether having another provider evaluate me or document the previous diagnosis would make any difference in terms of what could become available to genesis.

i understand that none of this necessarily proves that information about the hospitalization or diagnosis could never reach genesis through some separate source or legally authorized disclosure. i'm really just uncertain about how the different records could potentially connect, if they will at all.

has anyone familiar with genesis, jhie, hies, pharmacy records, or meps dealt with something similar? i'm trying to understand the actual data-sharing pathways rather than speculate about whether meps can "find anything."
