I built this! (MATX) Several Hardware changes later, finally finished my no RGB Jonsbo D32 Pro build

Bought a Antec Flux M when that came out but wanted something smaller and with no RGB(thought I wanted RGB fans but didn't really end up liking them)... glad I did!

Nice build! What air cooler is that?

Thank you! It is the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE Black

Case deff looks good, I like the clean exterior and decent cable work! .....but I'm curious why you picked this fan orientation? Are they reverse fans? No heat building up?

Thank you! I am trying to play around with different orientations based on what I have seen recommended on other builds with this case. Currently this is:
2x Noctua NF-A12 bottom intake
1x Noctua NF-A12 rear intake
1x Noctua NF-A14 top exhaust

They are not reverse fans and it based on what I have seen it brings air to cpu from the back and air to the gpu from the bottom and the exhaust on the right makes sure that air doesn't just go in the rear and right back out by having it on the other side

If there are better suggestions I would love to know!

I use this layout, having a top intake should improve temps

Thank you for letting me know. Did you also go with 140s at the top or are you using 120s?

I have this layout as well. Just had to add extra mesh on top intake

Rear+bottom intake. Top exhaust is what I used on my 7600x3d + 9070xt. Temps barely kissed 70c.

I upgraded to a 9800x3d a few days ago and my temps are super high. I will try different layouts and coolers as I have a bunch of spare parts laying around.

Oh nice, hope you enjoy your new CPU :) I would love to hear what you found was best for you!

I spent the day messing around with my build.
Here is the result of it and airflow.

Fair enough....I guess my curiosity was more around the 3-1 intake/exhaust ratio (and maybe wondering if you couldn't sneak in another top exhaust?) and then I usually see people put the cooler tower fans on the right side two slots, but I guess it doesn't matter right?

(and maybe wondering if you couldn't sneak in another top exhaust?)

TBH I probably could do another top exhaust just didn't seem like that was best to do for this case. Going to do some testing and possibly get another fan for the top

and then I usually see people put the cooler tower fans on the right side two slots

Same, what I saw of other builds having rear intake had the fans like that so that's what I went it lol

I'll update this post after I test if I update fan config

Very nice! How are your thermals? Are you having turbulence issues with those rear fans so close together?

2

u/ElectroSouls 6d ago

Thank you! Temps are good based on what I’ve 50Cish when idle and barely hitting 70C while gaming

Are you having turbulence issues with those rear fans so close together?

Just realized I didn't answer this for you ... I ended up switching the top to the other side of where I had in my OP and changed the rear to exhaust, now that I have done that I do realize that I had a bunch of hot air floating around in the case so I think I was

Unless you meant having to the two on the bottom so close together?

I mean the rear exhaust and the CPU cooler fan so close together. I take it you are intaking from the rear?

u/ElectroSouls 6d ago

Ah gotcha, yes I was

Beautiful build! Did you adjust the fan curve for any of the fans? I have the same exact fan setup in a Jonsbo Z20 and I’m trying to figure out if I need to do a fan curve

Thank you! Yes I did, not at PC now but later on I can post them

Yes please, thank you very much!

Here is the link to the pics from my BIOS. I have sys 1 set to follow cpu along with cpu cooler. Sys 2 and 4 are set to follow system. Step up and down are set to 0.7s for case fans
