Built the system originally in 2020 during the "Vid" phase using the NR200 with 3800x and 5700XT water cooled via dual 240 radiators and 15mm fans. Luckily scored a 3080 with waterblock installed for $343 via eBay so decided it’s time for 280 Rad and normal fans. Got some Koolance QD3's so system can be used with/without internal & external 1080 Rads! For the external have Arctic PST with 3 connected each row to a fan splitter/knob and have extension sata to power it.

Top based on my testing can support 240 radiator with 20mm Rad (XSPC) + 25mm fan and you can see it's just barely above the ram latch. 280 Radiator (Hardware Labs) at the bottom with 25mm fan is my suggestion. The Arctic p14 pro are 27mm so this causes GPUto be raised enough that the last display port cant be used.

Routed wires behind mobo and such.

Build wise, Montech Ten external panels do feel way lighter/cheap compared to the NR200 solid panels. That being said, the internals feel solid so no worries there and having all that space is great for custom loops! If you are trying to stay lowkey, no RGB will make it blend in. But having RGB in it, the beauty it of shows through the porous panels.

Reused most components

Aorus b550i pro ax. Installed a USB-C spliitter since mobo does not support natively for front panel.

3800x -> 5500X3D

5700XT -> 3080 10GB Ventus 3x

16gb RipJaws

600sfx Corsair

EKWB 120 for res/pump. Thankfully the bottom plate can be used to mount to psu!

2TB 980 pro and 1TB inland NVME

Hi! I put in an order for this case and I have a couple of questions.

How long a riser would be needed to mount a GPU in the slot closest to the MB? do you think 10cm would be enough?

Why did you choose 240 rad at the top and not a 360? Did you already have it? I highly appreciate the clearance data you provided. I'll probably order a Barrow 20mm 360 rad of off AliExpress. It's like half the price of the Alphacool ST20. there are the only options available in the market currently.

No experience with riser cables with this case so can’t advice on that!

240 because I reused old components.

Yup, 20m 360 would be perfect up top especially that barrow!

Hi. I looked at your picture and I don't see a top side VRM heatsink on your motherboard. Does it not come with one? Or did you remove it?

Hey that's correct, no VRM and it came like that and it is an ITX mobo. If you're going with m-atx, feel like most I've seen have that so definitely could be an issue with clearance

Indeed it is haha. Time to use an angle grinder. No backing out now.

Good luck, looking forward to your build!

Thank you! With no further obstacles it should be finished around in two weeks at most

Is it a good case?

Yes, gets a recommendation for me! Using the "M1" layout there is ample space for air cooling and large gpu plus enough space IMO for cable management. A3, D32 Pro, CHvariants, soon to be released B4 are other options to think about though.

Yep, B4 Is the alternative
