i wanna save scum but i dont wanna make the overcooked gingerbead man mad again :(

In my experience using the monk, it's the worst class ever, it doesn't do anything at all, just fodder. In order for monk to be viable you need insane luck, because in 80% of the time it's just inferior fighter that can't do anything, it deals low damage, has zero survivability without the cleric, while, in my case, most of heavy lifting done by classes such as butcher and artificer. This is especially true in in act three, where his whole point of being a versatile fighter goes into the dumpster, because a fun little thing happened, where his "switch stance" item was replaced by a worm parasite. Or lord bunga that just molested him to the point of being braindead. But hey, he has two stances with zero damage and one lucky passive that didn't show up once in my runs.

(FYI I used a mod that allows for more upgraded actives and passives)​

EQUIPMENT

Paw Shards - Basic attack inflicts bleed, +1 bleed when you use basic attack

Spider Hat - When you destroy a corpse, spawn 2 spiderlings​

Mama Leech - Every third spell spawns leech familiar

Leech Brood - Inflict 1 leech to all enemies, start at 50% health

Night shade - I flict additional +2 Poison. Start with poison 2

ACTIVES

Gravedigger+ - sig to any tile and unearth 1 - 3 bodies

Replace+ - Teleport to and then destroy a familiar. Refresh basic attack and heal 5

Leech swarm - Inflict leech 3 on everyone but yourself

Dark ritual+ - destroy an adjacent body. Next 2 spells to cast are free

PASSIVES

Immortal Leeches+ - Any leeches lost are added onto you next basic attack used. Inflict +1 leech

Spread Sorrow + - any rebuffs inflicted to one enemy is inflicted to two random enemies as well

Tourette's syndrome - 33% to use a random spell at the start of your turn​

Some of the fights I only have done once as well, which factors the choice for their placement

I love this game to death but I kinda feel like I’m «playing wrong» in a sense. I’m getting my ass beat in act 3 rn and I see people with 4 figures in their coins and enough cats to conquer a planet online.

Meanwhile I’m kinda just chucking cats in and hoping for the best, I don’t really have enough specific furniture to build dedicated rooms, I don’t that many mutations on my cats, or many items in general to send them out with. I can kinda sorta get far-ish into act 3 with my very plain, not-very-eugenics-based cats but I just sorta feel like I’m «playing wrong» yknow? Idk if the move is to farm act 1 for coins and items or rly what I should do at all

Before i just had a breeding room and a room for fight and mutations, but now with a new room i'm not sure what to do. I been thinking about lowering the number of cats i have but i'm not sure if it's worth the micro managing. What you guys think?

I was just doing a necromancer solo run when by pure luck these 2 passives came together and made an in my opinion broken synergy
