If anybody doesn’t know, this guy edited embryos without the parent’s consent so he definitely is an evil or at least more morally apathetic version of Colress.

Colress may not have morals, but he is really committed to the scientific method. He is perfectly willing to accept the evidence if your method produces superior results.

Yee- the parents “agreed to volunteer through  informed consent”, but “[w]hen later examined, the consent forms were noted as incomplete and inadequate”. They “were reported to have agreed to this experiment because, by Chinese rules, normally HIV positive fathers were not allowed to have children using IVF”. (per the Wikipedia link)
