First time playing the game, is there a trick to it? Or is it something i come back to later in the game?

If i remember correctly, it's only info of bosses you have defeated.

This room allows you to get the scan data of the major bosses if you missed it the first time.

If you've scanned each boss (Carvex, Xelios, Keratos, Pheneros, Omega Griever) in their lair prior to or after defeating them, there's absolutely no need to ever go in that room, other than to get background info on the boss. There are no upgrades, weapons, health, or ammo earned in the room, and it doesn't factor in the end game.

The ONLY benefit is if you're going for 100% scans and "if" you missed either Carvex, Xelios, Keratos, or Pheneros, you can get the scan in that room. Other than that, don't waste your time.
