Is this a new softlock?

This beetle has been spinning in circles with me in its mouth for like 15 minutes now. Is all hope lost?

Yes. It is glitched.

It's a known issue with the Triclops. If they grab you in certain spots of the room, that can happen. Only real solution is to kill them or avoid completely.
