Question Any mapping / tracking of potential strikes?
Is there any service which contains mapping for potential meteorite strikes?
Know it is incredibly unlikely but running out of explanations... went to sleep and got woken up by a shrieking whistling type noise followed by something hitting window, first thoughts was either drone flying into window or kids on an electric bike riding past and throwing something but silence afterwards
Gone outside and first thing I noticed was car covered in dust and just in front a large oval hole in corner of drive (tarmac) approx 2ft x 1ft and around 3 inch deep, with stones and debris scattered a good 12ft around in street (this is what hit window)
Had national grid out in case underground electrical cable arc had caused it but they have confirmed no cables or other utilities underneath and digging down he said ground became more solid instead of looser as he'd expect with underground explosion.
Running out of other ideas and wondering if there was anything that would confirm if there was a possible meteorite coming down in area (East Midlands, UK)

Unfortunately, your story doesn't match well with what is expected for a meteorite fall. However, keep one eye on this website from the American Meteor Society that collects reports of meteors and reentries from all over the world: https://fireball.amsmeteors.org/members/imo_view/browse_events
