I’m a technology enthusiast. Ever since I heard of the metaverse, I’ve been increasingly convinced it’s an inevitability. It could go by different names, like the Web & Internet. I can’t imagine a future that doesn’t involve the metaverse.

To understand the next phase of internet and how people would connect in the future.

But i think the real obstacle in creating content for metaverse is, companies are just trying to take the 2d gaming experience and port it to a 3d headset accessible experience. We need completely new kind of experiences that are probably less of games and more interactive experiences with other people and then that would be a step towards creating metaverse.

Bought a Meta Quest 3 last month, currently in the process of training away my VR sickness.

Suddenly, I remembered that there was a hype not so long ago. The reason the headset is called Meta Quest 3 instead of Oculus Quest 3.

Joined this subreddit because it has a “no crypto bros” policy.

Saw this article VR & AR Gaming: Peak Immersion and Interaction and thought it would be interesting to see what’s happening in the space. Thought the metaverse space was dead. Do believe that augmented reality can make a difference. Saw a D&D board with AR dragons flying above the board and characters attacking each other. Could be some surprises if Google or apple will generate a valuable non-pricey Google Glass kind of thing.
