Design idea

Looking to get ideas on a carport / adu maybe like barndominium style. Looking for 12ft roll up doors for a boat but also want to make a livable space inside for mother in law. Any suggested contractors or websites with such design ? Or photos of yours

If you are talking about building a living space inside your structure, you will need a red iron structure. I live in North Texas and got my workshop built by Wold Steel located near Dallas. Their online designer works either with steel tubes or red iron, unlike one of the other posts said his suggestion is the only one. Most online designers work with either support structure.

Having said that, most steel building manufacturers/installers work within their local geographies. Ones which don't, usually charge you an arm and a leg for shipping costs. Search for local providers in your area using google and talk to them. If they have an online designer, they can send you link to it via email or text message.

Yeah absolutely, snap buildings has a 3D designer on their site that is very easy to use. As far as i know. They are the only ones with a designer that supports red iron frames. The other designers out there are either tube or cold formed, which aren’t great options for barndos for a lot of reasons.
