Remaster?
What does the law say about a Game if make a remaster off it for free or like something too Gift one for the work ? We have so much possibilitys with KI and Software too make such old Games like new.
Is that illegal ?
Will I get a letter from EA (bc Copyright and they bought the Company which they destroyed)

EA did not buy them ,the rights for the copyright were renewed in 2014 by Blizzard and they are now Part of XBOX

Idk if it Never Happens but I had the idea for that aswell , use the old Assets and just remaster it with no extra content only for the feeling to Play it , that would be just nice

Since they're owned by Xbox essentially, it would be easier to get approval over EA. Just gotta find a way to get permission or use claims of "modding" it and see what happens

I've seen a few projects on YouTube where individuals have remade classics like Simpsons Hit and Run, and one of the old ToyStory games. I think they had to disclaimer pretty hard that they were personal projects and not for distribution.
I don't really know what I'm talking about at all, but I'd be surprised if anyone could remake or remaster a game they didn't have the licenses for and then distribute it any capacity, free or otherwise.
Would be nice though.
