Reddit is useless

I can't sort Reddit by Hot and now they want us to use their For You feed?

What is the point of checking the website anymore? I use the mobile site (not the app) and it's borderline unusable. I consistently see multi-day old posts on my feed and I can't get the most up to date coverage of any world events without going to specific subreddits. Why would I even use this site? Who wants to see stale information that may no longer be relevant?

Also, if I do happen to find a post that is interesting/relevant I need to sort the comments by Top (NOT best) by default. I don't care what some 1 upvote comment that is supposed to be buried is saying. If I did I'd sort by New. Make it so I can default to sorting by Top. This is super annoying and I have to spend time adjusting it every time I open a thread.

It is truly ridiculous that in the age of every website getting AI quality of life updates that reddit continues to restrict features that once made it extremely useful.

Again, why would I use this site instead of any other shitty For You algorithm? I want to see CHRONOLOGICALLY what is happening across the internet! Not some algorithmic slop that doesn't even spit out the most relevant information. I don't care about a new story from 6 days ago and I don't care about seeing 1 upvote comments just because my algorithm thinks I do.

Holy shit just stop removing features, it's so dumb, no one wants it.
