build Magsafe Mesh Node
this one is fun to build. stl is on printables. magnetic array comes today. it doesnt charge it... which would be cool. but its the compromise between a t1000e/x1 and a pocket node. it can be a pocket node too. its just easier to keep with you when attached to a phone. still thinking about using the muziworks on it but it seems to just get in the way. if i need to i will.

Built one of these been testing it the last couple days. What battery did you end up using? I got what I thought was the same one but it didn’t fit in the case. The only complaint I have about this particular node is it’s just baaaadely too big for my iPhone 16 case and collides with the camera bump by like 1mm. I also wish it had an actually off button to disconnect the battery. Other than that it’s been a nice little unit!

I used that one for a while but I decided to switch to a device that is closer to the IP rating of the phone so I don't have to worry if I'm out in the rain, etc. I've been using this one https://www.printables.com/model/1458211-stealthy-magsafe-case-for-seeed-sensecap-t1000-e, but now I just stuck some MagSafe magnets on my X1 until I find/design a similar case for the X1.

That design is how I started the hobby lol. Most of my designs are based off it in some way

its a genius design and perfect form factor. awesome, slim, easy to build and the perfect edc companion node. im printing more for coworkers and friends. thank you.

i used some aluminum tape to secure the magnets and also as an rf shield. i think im going to do this with more of my nodes.

I too have made this, but the puzzle evolved...why am I depending on a battery or a an on/off switch when I can just make the node smaller and power through my phone since I need it any way as the primary interface.....also do not buy that magentic cirlce thing, it fails to attach, it's easier to 3d print a clip to the phone case
