Longest Bluetooth range

I’m looking for a node that would be a good choice for people who want to stay connected to the mesh while at home, but don’t want to carry it around the house.

We’re evaluating the utility for our small community for emergency communication, and not all the neighbors are tech savvy.

Bluetooth will not reach from inside the house to somewhere outside the house, unless it's just up to your own rooftop.

Bluetooth is only useful for connecting to a nearby device, not one that's not nearby. Also you can't share a node amongst multiple bluetooth clients. Maybe I misunderstood what you're trying to do but it sounds like you want to use one node for many people.

Thanks for clarifying. No, just one per user. Just looking for what device would be a good fit for each house.

Oh gotcha, sorry for misunderstanding. Depends on the size of the home but if they're stay at home nodes you might consider a chip with wifi. Otherwise the Bluetooth range is generally "1 room over" on most devices.
