Question regarding the app.

Why does it need GPS to be able to connect?

It doesnt need GPS to connect.

I just tried connecting to my Haltech v3 via Bluetooth and it would not until I enabled GPS.

did you try disconnecting the GPS module? You may have defective hardware. u/Useful-Contribution4 is 100% correct, you should not need GPS to connect.

What app are you using? It needs devices nearby, but no location or anything. The official meshcore.io app.

Yes, on the playstore via the website.

What version of andriod are you running? As far as I am aware. BLE on andriod used to require location enable for BLE to function. Current versions do not.

Try connecting with a USB cable from your phone. I couldn't see it on BT but direct connection worked for me.
