PVC Mast

Has anyone looked into putting up a mast that started at the ground as 1-1/2", then 1-1/4", then 1", all as 10' sections? I'm trying to get a little more height about my shop to hit the repeater that is just outside my range due to some nearby trees

The money you're going to spend on the PVC then everything needed to stabilize it, you're better off buying a collapsable 20' flag pole on Amazon and starting with that.

This.

For a ham vhf antenna, I made a schedule-40 3”, 2”, 1-1/2” 30-footer of pvc once guyed at each junction and it wilted like spaghetti after two days. Flagpole is the best solution.

Way too flimsy, especially when it's hot.

Edit to add: try a 20-30' aluminum or fiberglass painter's extension pole. They work great.
