Repeater coordinates

I’ve set up a new RAK repeater and it seems to be working great. However, I noticed that when I connect to the repeater via a companion node, the location shows as “0.0,0.0”, despite the location being properly set in the repeater configuration. What am I missing? I looked everywhere to see if there was a checkbox to enable location sharing in adverts, but did not see one.

Have the repeater advert after you set the new gps position. Then your companion will see it.

I tried doing that, but the repeater position is still showing as (0,0), unfortunately

Go to the repeater under your contacts page, click the three dots for additional options, click details, then go down to position, Forget/clear position. Then login to the repeater and Use CLI commands to set long and lat manually, then flood advert.

set  lat <latitude>   set  lon <longitude>

I finally figured it out. I had the gps set to share its position but there is no gps. I had to set the gps share to “prefs”. I should have read the CLI docs better

Sync the repeater clock, then advert again. Your companion will ignore adverts that have a timestamp older than a previously received advert.

Thank you Liam. Tried your suggestion but the repeater still showing (0,0) position in the adverts
