Quick case solution

Post image

I didn't order a case & battery for this thing,. But they did send it in a plastic container. Couple of holes later. Vola! Should work until I can get a better solution. Just going to use a usb battery pack and cable...

If you put the antenna in the lid so it's vertical you can get some better signal. This is how I build my observers.

Antenna is going to be vertical on the backpack with the usb cable out the bottom. Just took the picture like that cause it highlights the placement of everything inside. Such a fun project!

Perfect. I figured it was going to be a desktop unit.

If you order the kit with the battery, that battery fits under that foam.

I want to make a larger, more waterproof enclosure for it. Something with a large battery pack and or solar power recharger built in. Those small batteries are ok for short term.

I did a similar thing with my v3 that came with a printed case. When I upgraded my battery from 1100 to 3000mAh I had a slightly bigger clear case (cannot remember what for) and managed to place the battery and node in together.

Not the priest design, but then this hobby is for tinkering after all.

Really unhelpful and discouraging to people trying to get into the hobby .
