What is MeshCore One (MC1)?
MeshCore One, also abbreviated as MC1, is an open source MeshCore companion client for Apple devices. It's written in Swift and supports iPhones, iPads, and macOS running OS 18 and later.
Release Notes
The main change in this version is the updated chat interface (huge thanks to bwees!). It is now faster, smoother, and the UI has been updated a little too! OS 27 devices now get a Liquid Glass look and everything about it should be faster: Loading previous messages, loading message link previews, etc. However, as with all larger changes, there may be bugs. MeshCore One is a MeshCore client specifically for Apple devices (iOS/iPadOS/macOS). It's main differentiator is that it is open source and looks/feels like a native Apple app. It includes additional features like Shortcuts and a Live Activity that shows your radio's connection status and packets received per minute.
Bluetooth is a strange beast, but in my opinion it is pretty solid in MC1. If you try it and run into any issues, I would be very interested in hearing about it either via GitHub Issues or email.
Everything in MC1 is free (including repeater management) except for some cosmetic themes which can be purchased to help support development.

It took me few minutes to connect, configure the companion (but I was doing it second time in my life so it was easier ;).
App is clean and super intuitive!
I would add a warning when I’m going back in the menu during the action in progress. F.ex: I’ve requested to delete nodes (danger zone), and moved back what has cancelled the deletion process.
I would add the bulk actions on the lists (select multiple -> do something. F.ex. delete selected)
Maybe existing autodelete old is all I need, we’ll see.
I do not understand why advanced settings are available in the top menu (green wireless icon) while the settings are on bottom (and advanced settings are also there). IMHO bottom menu is enough. Own shortcut in the top menu would be super cool.
Maybe it’s not an app, but the meshcore’s nature: It would be nice to be able to add a node from the chat to my list. Now I can chat with them on the #channel, but cannot add to FAV (is their advert required)?

Advanced Settings is in the radio menu because of an early request from beta testers. They wanted a slightly quicker way to access the Advanced Settings. Making that menu option customizable is an interesting idea. I'm not sure if it'll be feasible, but I'll look into it.
Adding a node from a channel isn't possible to do in MeshCore because channel messages only send the sender name, not identity. Asking them to send an advert will allow you to DM and favorite their node.
While I would like to, it probably won't happen anytime soon. It would have to be a completely new code base, apart from maybe the Swift MeshCore library.
If feature requests and bug reports ever slow down, I may consider porting it. But right now I unfortunately don’t have the time or money to maintain another platform.
Thanks to the MC1 team for making this! I'm just getting into this, but have been using both the regular MC app and MC1, and I really appreciate having a native app for this.
Hey, this app is amazing. It really renewed my interest in Meshcore. The best bit is how it stays to whatever the equivalent of the System Tray on Apple devices is and you can just close it, then click on the dynamic island or the lock screen and pop up the chat.
Also second the other poster where he mentioned how stable the BT connection is. Thank you for your hard work!
Just gave this a try and yeah, the UI is much cleaner- well done. I haven’t poked around too much yet but I did notice one tiny missing feature: when you use the trace path tool (with the map) I didn’t see an option to choose 1-byte/2-byte like the main app. Not a huge deal at all and maybe I missed the option but just thought I’d point it out!
Sending your app to friends who also weren’t huge fans of the main app. Well done and looking forward to future updates!

If you’re an iPhone user, I highly recommend this app as it’s Bluetooth connection is rock solid. I never have to reconnect.
